Endowed Scholarships and Bursaries
Support students today, tomorrow – forever
An Endowed Scholarship or Bursary will provide a sound basis for an ongoing award on the part of the donor. With an endowed scholarship or bursary, you are helping students achieve their potential right away, but you are also helping the Ottawa School of Speech & Drama set the wheels in motion for future awards that will affect the artistic outcome for many future students.

Conditions
Donors may specify the conditions under which their scholarship may be awarded (i.e. to a Pre-Professional student, or to a child in the Musical Theatre Program), with the proviso that in the event that there is no suitable candidate, the scholarship be awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship and Awards Committee. However, fewer restrictions on a donation will allow The Ottawa School of Speech & Drama to respond to student needs as they arise each year.Recognition
- You may name the scholarship in honour or memory of a family member, teacher or artist
- Gifts of $1,000 or more receive recognition on-site at The Ottawa School of Speech & Drama, for the life of the gift
- Endowment Gifts of $5,000 or more receive additional recognition and are recognized for the life of the gift
- Donors are recognized on The OSSD website and on printed materials such as the annual report, newsletter and a selection of OSSD, Pre-Professional, Adult and Children & Youth Program publications
- Scholarship donors of $5,000 or more are eligible for studio visits with the student recipient(s) and other activities where you may see how your donation has made a positive impact
- Where corporate or foundation donations are made, we would be delighted to work together to negotiate appropriate benefits and/or recognition for the organization
- Scholarship donors have the opportunity to meet the recipient of their scholarship at The OSSD’s Awards Night, held annually at the National Arts Centre in late June
