MUSICAL THEATRE COURSES FOR STUDENTS AGE 8 +
MUSICAL THEATRE (8-10 years)

MUSICAL THEATRE (10-12, 11-13, 13-16 years)
A “Triple Threat” actor can dance, sing and act all at the same time! OSSD's Musical Theatre program helps to develop all of these skills. Students learn how to tell a story through words, movement and song. Training focuses on acting, singing, dancing and working chorally as a group. Specific musicals, or musical theatre themes, are selected based on the needs of the students. Students work toward final workshop presentations.

MUSICAL THEATRE PRODUCTION CLASSES (12 - 18yrs)
OSSD offers students with previous experience the opportunity to continue to develop specific skills while working toward a final production. The courses begin in September and productions take place as a part of the school’s Spring Showcase.
Each program has a different focus and helps to develop a different set of skills. Performance companies require a high level of commitment and entrance is by audition held in August for the coming school year.
MUSICAL THEATRE STUDIO (12-17 years)
The Musical Theatre Studio Course is a unique blend of training and performance. Small class sizes allow for students with previous experience to develop their skills in acting, singing and dance. Each year, musicals are selected to be performed in a concert version that focuses on developing and showcasing the individual strengths of each performer. With minimal sets and costumes, the emphasis is on the actor.
Final productions take place in The Natalie Stern Studio Theatre.
