Collective Creation
For students age 11 - 15
Instructed by Andre Perrier
Theatre is about communicating meaning to an audience, whereas drama education is about finding meaning for oneself through personal exploration. Collective Creation is a way to bring these two experiences into one. It is a technique in theatre where actors create a play as a group, with or without the aid of playwright. And in becoming the Actor/Creator, performers get the chance to push their creative boundaries while they explore performing ones own creation. It’s a whole new style of performance. Using body, mask and improvisation - our young actors devise their own performance.
