Discover Drama
For Students age 6-8 years
Discover Drama is OSSD's most popular camp for young children. Each day campers work with a variety of instructors to explore movement, sound, characterization, story-telling and improvisation. There are opportunities to create masks, puppets and other theatre crafts. Stay for one week or two -- every day there is something new to explore!

Drama Works
For Students aged 9-11 years
Drama Works is a great way for children to tap into their creativity. Led by a team of actors, campers learn to express themselves using their voice, body and imagination to develop characters, scenes and stories. Campers learn how to improvise and work together to make original drama creations. Different instructors explore different aspects of stage craft including making creative sets and costumes. It’s a full camp of drama fun!

Page to Stage
For Students aged 9–11 years
Putting on a play is always fun, and Page to Stage is a great way to learn the skills needed to go from script to performance. Stage directors teach how to play a scene, bring words to life and how to find creative ways to work with fellow actors. The camp ends in a staged performance in the OSSD studio.

Musical Theatre
For Students aged 8-10, 9-11, 12+ years
Musical theatre is for the “Triple Threat” actor. Each day there are classes in singing, dancing and acting! Working with a director and accompanist, participants learn different styles, songs, dances and scenes from a variety of musicals. Each camp finishes with a performance for family and friends in the OSSD studio.
NOTE: Musical Theatre participants must wear black jazz shoes or any soft black shoe or slipper, loose fitting clothes or tights. Hair must be neatly tied away from the face. Please wear no jewelry A bottle of water should be brought to class.

Improv!
For Students aged 10 – 12, and 13 - 17 years
More thrilling than a roller coaster, more energized than a runaway train, the Improv workshop gets you on the edge and keeps you there. There’ll be tons of fun creating characters, scenes and situations as you learn how to be spontaneous, respond quickly and get rid of inhibitions. The camp ends in a presentation for friends and family.

Camera Weekend Intensive
For Students aged 15 - 17
This 2 1/2 day Weekend Intensive simulates the on-set experience of an Indie film shoot. Actors will work with scenes from screenplays under the same rigorous demands as those encountered on a professional film set. Working with a dedicated group of 12 actors who will also fulfill the various crew functions when not working in scenes, instructor Barry Blake will assume the additional role of director. This hands-on Intensive provides a thorough understanding of and respect for the filmmaking process in the 'real world'.
Prerequisite: Introductory Acting for the Camera course or previous on-camera training or experience. (Admission at instructor’s discretion)

The Actors' Lab
For Students aged 13 - 17
The Actor’s Lab explores a young actor’s toolbox. Every day builds on developing new physical, vocal and interpretive acting skills. Creative energies are harnessed as the actors put these tools to use incorporating movement, script, improvisation and creative brainstorming to build a play. The camp ends in a staged performance for family and friends in the OSSD studio.
