Discover Drama
For Students age 6-8 years
Discover Drama is OSSD’s most popular camp for young children. Each day campers work with a variety of instructors to explore movement, sound, characterization, story-telling and improvisation. There are opportunities to create masks, puppets and other theatre crafts. Every day there is something new to explore!

Drama Works
For Students aged 9-11 years
Drama Works is a great way for children to tap into their creativity. Led by a team of actors, campers learn to express themselves using their voice, body and imagination to create characters, scenes and stories. Different instructors explore different aspects of stage craft. It’s a full camp of drama fun!

Page to Stage
For Students aged 9–11 years
Putting on a play is always fun, and Page to Stage is a great way to learn the skills needed to go from script to performance. Stage directors teach how to play a scene, bring words to life and how to find creative ways to work with fellow actors. The camp ends in a staged performance in the OSSD studio.

On Stage
For Students aged 11-16 years
This is a great camp for young people interested in strengthening their acting abilities. Using poetry, monologues and scenes, campers will work with a director to hone their acting skills and to build a unique play. Performers will be encouraged to write some of their own material, as well as to work with scripted text. The camp ends in a staged performance for family and friends in the OSSD studio.

Musical Theatre
For Students aged 8-10, 9-11, 12+ years
Musical theatre is for the “Triple Threat” actor. Each day there are classes in singing, dancing and acting! Working with a director and accompanist, participants learn different styles, songs, dances and scenes from a variety of musicals. Each camp finishes with a performance in the OSSD studio.
NOTE: Musical Theatre participants must wear black jazz shoes or any soft black shoe or slipper, loose fitting clothes or tights. Hair must be neatly tied away from the face. Please wear no jewelry A bottle of water should be brought to class.

Improv!
For Students aged 10 – 12, 13+ years
More thrilling than a roller coaster, more energized than a runaway train, the Improv workshop gets you on the edge and keeps you there. There’ll be tons of fun creating characters, scenes and situations as you learn how to be spontaneous, respond quickly and get rid of inhibitions. The camp ends in a presentation in the OSSD studio.

THE ACTORS’ ENSEMBLE: CREATING THEATRE
For Students aged 13 - 16
The Actors’ Ensemble is a workshop for students who are interested in creating their own theatre. Working with a director, campers will develop skills to devise and produce their own play. There will be opportunities to learn specialized skills such as improvisation, mime, and clowning. This is a highly creative workshop that allows young performers to explore different ways of expressing artistic ideas.
The workshop ends in performances for friends and family.
Please note: This workshop takes place at an alternate location in the Westboro area, not at the Picton Avenue studios.
