GREAT WORKSHOPS TO DRIVE AWAY THE WINTER BLAHS!

Star Struck! (ages 6 - 8)

Have you got a little drama star in your household? Then this is the perfect way to spend March Break. It’s a fabulous week of drama games, improvisation, movement, singing, creating characters and story telling that ends in a presentation for family and friends.

From Page to Stage: Adventures on the River Bank (ages 9 - 11)

Spend March Break creating a play! Actors from “Rag and Bone puppet Theatre” will teach you how to play a scene, bring words to life and how to find creative ways to bring characters to life. Warm up drama games teach you how to use your voice, body and creative energies to develop your acting skills. The week ends in a staged performance of Adventures on the River Bank in the OSSD studio.

All Singing, All Dancing (ages 11 +)

Take a March Break vacation to Broadway in this high energy singing and dancing workshop. Learn big showstopper numbers and forget your winter blues! The week ends with a musical theatre presentation for family and friends.

Improvisation Madness (ages 12 - 15)

This workshop will quickly move from the basics of improvisational theatre to fast paced madness on stage. You'll learn how to think quickly on your feet, solve problems creatively, respond spontaneously and have an amazingly fun time. From sketch comedy to free-form improvisation, you'll build theatre skills and life skills. The week will end in an open house showcase for friends and family.

General Registration Information

  • Students should wear comfortable clothing and bring indoor shoes.
  • Bring a lunch and snacks - please no nuts. OSSD is a nut free zone.
  • Students requiring before and after care must register for this at the time of registration for the course.
  • Before care is from 8:15 - 9:00 a.m.
  • After care is from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
  • Cost for before & after care is $40.00 for the week.
  • No refunds are given without a written request one week before the course begins. A $25 administration fee will be deducted. After the start of a course, refunds will not be given. If unable to continue due to illness, the fee will be held over to a following semester upon receipt of a medical letter.
  • OSSD reserves the right to cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment. In the event of a cancellation, registrants will be notified one week prior to the start date and will receive a full refund.
