Creative Baby Instructors

 

Marie-Lynne

Marie-Lynne has a Bachelor of Music from McGill University, an ARCT from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto, a Master of Arts from Carleton University and a professional training in Voice Movement Therapy (VMT) from the Norma G. Canner Foundation.  She creatively weaves together music, voicework, movement and self-expression in her work.  She teaches music to children, leads sight-singing classes, facilitates voicework groups and VMT sessions and performs on vocals and flute with Anahat Shabd.  Marie-Lynne is a member of the International Association for Voice Movement Therapy (IAVMT). 

 


Amanda Porter

Amanda Porter is a certified Sivananda Hatha Yoga Instructor, Club Yoga (for children) trained, certified Birth and Post Partum Doula, a pre and postnatal massage practitioner, infant massage instructor, percussionist and artist. She has been teaching and working in the Ottawa area for the last 8 years, teaching well over 1000 classes and workshops. Her lifes work has been focused around prenatal and postpartum women, babies and teaching yoga to children.  She is a mother of two children, ages 6 and 1 year, who inspire her daily and keep the spirit of yoga alive!

 


Nikki Carriere

Nikki has danced competitively since the tender age of ten years old. Her dancing and performing experiences are varied, including festivals, television programs, galas, and fashion shows. To further round her dance experience, she has also obtained a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Algonquin College; and, has also participated in teachers' intensive courses at the National Ballet of Canada, Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, and at the Dance Commons School of San Francisco. She is highly enthusiastic to be part of the Pre-School Program at the OSSD teaching drama, Gotta Dance, and instructing in adult dance classes.
