Impassioned Embraces
The Ottawa Theatre School presents: Impassioned Embraces
by John Pielmeier
Directed by Mary Ellis
Subtitled “Pieces of Love and Theatre”, Impassioned Embraces is a series of fast-moving, highly inventive scenes, dealing with the many aspects of love - from the sublime to the ridiculous – and with the trials and terrors of a life in the theatre. Romance and the need for passionate self-expression have never created so many problems, and such offbeat hilarity!
The show features the second-year students of the Ottawa Theatre School, fresh from the acclaimed Blood Brothers at the Gladstone Theatre. The play is written by John Pielmeier (Agnes of God) and directed by Mary Ellis, renowned Ottawa actor and teacher. The cast includes Diego Arvelo, Dominic Duchesne, Kyla Gray, Kaitlin Miller, Jodi Morden, Greg Shand and Henry Shikongo. This is very much an actor’s piece – an opportunity for these talented young actors to showcase the range of their ability.
